Data protection with verinice

verinice and data protection are a perfect match: the only open source GRC tool on the market provides a convenient and proven tool for information security and data protection management. verinice supports the implementation of the EU GDPR and the resulting requirements. The domain of data protection is part of the next verinice generation and is suitable for both data protection novices and professionals.

The interaction between data protection and other information security domains reduces the documentation effort, saves costs and helps data protection officers in their daily work.

Strength of verinice DPMS

The domain data protection of the new verinice generation is a complete data protection manager and supports you in fulfilling data protection obligations according to the German BDSG and EU-GDPR. The focus is on elementary data protection processes:

  • Directory of processing activities
  • Appointment of data protection officers
  • Outsourced data processing and DPA contracts
  • Risk management and data protection impact assessment (DPIA)
  • Incident management
  • Technical and organizational measures (TOM)
  • Contract and document management

The extensive experience of the verinice team and the intensive exchange with users are the basis for a user-friendly and comprehensive approach to data protection. The data protection management tool goes beyond the minimum legal requirements, makes work easier and creates flexibility for users.

Data protection with verinice.veo

The domain data protection is available as verinice DSMS and the first on the basis of the new verinice.veo – initially as SaaS offering verinice.cloud, later also as verinice.onprem. From November, you can either subscribe to a pure data protection bundle (including the NIS 2 domain) or, depending on your requirements for an integrated management system, access further combinations with the practically bundled offers (Grundschutz, ISO 2700x, TISAX).

The EVAL version of the verinice DSMS is already available for you to test free of charge and without obligation for 30 days.

With the release of verinice.veo, the verinice team offers the possibility to migrate to the new verinice generation. Have you already worked with verinice and the data protection module? You can take over your data and, depending on the bundle you have booked, continue to use it for the data protection domain. You can also opt for a practical bundled combination with the other domains supported by verinice and build an ISMS and BCMS based on the content already entered.

The new verinice as SaaS verinice.Cloud is ready for use and the range of functions is gradually being expanded. We present the progress transparently here and you decide when the time is right for you to switch or upgrade. SerNet will continue to support the classic verinice until 2027.
