On June 24, 2026, the verinice team will migrate verinice.cloud to a new infrastructure provider. On that day, verinice.cloud services will be unavailable; starting on June 25, 2026, they will be available again at the same address and with the same login credentials. All data and configurations will be fully preserved; no action is required on your part. verinice.onprem is not affected.
The new hosting partner is SysEleven, which operates a data center in Berlin. Its cloud infrastructure has been awarded a BSI C5 certification (Type 2).
What the C5 certification means
The C5 (Cloud Computing Compliance Criteria Catalogue) is a catalog of criteria published by the BSI that defines minimum security requirements for cloud services. The assessment is conducted by independent auditors. There are two types of certification: Type 1 certifies that the security measures are appropriately designed as of a specific date. Type 2 goes further and additionally verifies whether these measures are actually being effectively implemented over a specified period of time.
The C5 Type 2 certification is particularly relevant for government agencies, operators of critical infrastructure, and organizations with strict compliance requirements—such as those under NIS2 or ISO 27001—i.e., users for whom the underlying cloud infrastructure must also demonstrably meet high security requirements.
